Anthony Shriver, that’s Anthony Paul Kennedy Shriver, JFK’s nephew and the noted activist for people with intellectual disabilities (he founded Best Buddies International), has just placed his rather sunny little house at 6145 La Gorce Drive on the market for $1.699 million. According to the house’s property record, he and his wife Alina have owned it since 2004.

Listed with Nancy Batchelor, the one-story, ranch style place was designed by noted Miami Beach architect Carlos Schoeppl in 1946. It boasts wood and terrazzo floors, marble countertops, new impact-glass windows, and (per the broker’s remarks) “room for a pool.” Mr. Shriver also owns a larger home a few blocks away, on Pine Tree Drive, which is not on the market.
